Tubelight is the story of two brothers Bharat (Sohail Khan) and Laxman (Salman Khan) who are orphans. They share a close bonding with each other that they live for each other. Things change completely after Bharat joins army and heads for the India – China war. This is during this time, Laxman misses his brother badly and starts his journey for him. The rest of the film is all about the people he meets and bonds during this journey. Watch Tubelight to know if Laxman meets his brother Bharat.

The first half of Tubelight manages to build the characters of the film. The narration has been dead slow that it leaves the audience irritated. Though the film lacks interesting plot, Kabir Khan manages to narrate the film depending on the bonding between two brothers. Salman has been showcased in a never seen dull character which may not be digested by most of the audience and his fans. The first half of Tubelight offers nothing.

The second half which is quite crucial too manages to stand dull and makes no impact all over. The songs look completely outdated and they test the patience of the audience. The unwanted characters kill the film’s flavour completely and Tubelight on the whole fails in all the available ways to impress the audience. With a routine and predictable climax, Tubelight second half is a massive disappointment.

Performance :

Salman Khan who is the man of masses has been showcased in a dull and underrated role, which will sure be not accepted, by most of the audience. His character has been completely restricted that makes no impact. Sohail Khan has been extremely impressive in the emotional episodes and he stands strong with his performance. Zhu Zhu and Matin are the only saviours of the film. All the other actors have been decent.

The story of Tubelight is the major drawback and it kills the complete film. Salman’s characterization and the screenplay are the major letdowns of the movie. The dialogues look good and the music has been ok. The background score and the cinematography are the major assets of Tubelight and the production values looked good. Kabir Khan wastes a golden opportunity and the film falls flat in all the available ways.

Final Word

Tubelight is a huge shock for Salman Khan and his team as the film fails to impress the audience bigtime. One of the biggest debacles in the recent times.

    Jagga Jasoos Movie Review

Jagga Jasoos is one film which has been impressive in each and every frame. Right from the start, Jagga Jasoos looks beautiful and presented well. However the movie looks dragged several times and the slow narration may not appeal to all the sections of the audience. However the brilliant performances along with the stupendous technical values makes Jagga Jasoos top notch. The perfect interval bang makes the first half engaging and entertaining. The second half of the film too has been slow in pace and has strong emotional episodes. Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif make the film connect emotionally with the audience because of their loud and subtle performances. The emotional bonding between a father and his son has been portrayed well on screen. The climax has been thoroughly entertaining and on the whole, the second half of Jagga Jasoos looks decent but it will sure not appeal to all the sections of audiences.

  • Mom Movie Review
    Mom Movie Review

MOM starts on an interesting note and it is the gripping narration that drives the film. Some of the court episodes and the performances by the lead actors make the film convincing. Some of the emotional episodes are heart touching and they will sure make a massive impact. However on the flipside, the plot looks quite outdated and some of the episodes have been shot under the bar. The second half of MOM too has been interesting but it dips down at several parts. The crime scenes and the investigation episodes bring lot of interest among the audience. Some of the episodes in the second half turn predictable and the pre-climax episodes turn out interesting again. On the whole the second half of MOM has been ok and it should have been dealt better in many aspects.

  • Bank Chor Movie Review
    Bank Chor Movie Review

The first half of the film starts on a comic note however the film turns out to be a thriller soon after 20 minutes. The major disadvantage of the film is most of the episodes look fake and the movie has been completely dragged with a silly and simple line. Though Ritesh Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi try to impress the audience, this alone could not save the movie. The first half of Bank Chor leaves the audience in deep confusion if they can continue watching the second half. Bank Chor has enough scope for entertainment and suspense but it is the narration that slams the entire film. With the thieves relaxing in the banks and playing video games while the cops and CBI waiting outside the bank for hours will not go well with the audience. The pre-climax and the climax episodes kill the film completely and they look completely dragged. Each and every scene looks predictable. On the whole, the second half of Bank Chor makes the film fall flat.

  • Raabta Movie Review
    Raabta Movie Review

Raabta has some interesting moments and the romantic episodes which will sure impress a set of young audience. But this alone is not enough for a film to end up impressive. Raabta has many poorly written episodes and most of them look fake. Things change within fraction of seconds and the film switches a romantic saga to the deadly Game of Thrones which is something hard to digest. The songs have been decent but the characters have not been linked good. With many flaws, the first half of Raabta tries hard to convince the audience. At the same time, the second half of Raabta too suffers huge lag because of the poor writing and narration skills. Most of the episodes have been loosely executed and looks outdated. Sushant Singh Rajput seems hyper active in many of the episodes and some of the characters have been utterly wasted. Jim Sarbh has been extremely stupendous on screen but his character has not been written well. With a poor second half, Raabta ends up on a dull note and it completely fails to impress the audience.
