Story

Trapped is the story of Shaurya (Rajkumar Rao) who admires his colleague Noorie (Geetanjali Thapa). He takes his time and finally impresses her. She agrees for a dinner date with him after which their friendship turns into love. Here comes a twist as Noorie gets engaged to someone and the wedding date nears. It is during this time Shaurya asks her to move with him and finds a flat in an empty rise building on the limited budget he has. Just before he invites Noorie, he gets locked in his new flat and the rest of the film is how he survives alone without electricity and water. Watch Trapped to know about the rest.

Trapped starts on an engaging and entertaining note with a cute love story and funny conversations between Shaurya and Noorie. The movie takes a major leap after the lead actor gets trapped in a building which is located in the heart of the city. The gripping narration is sure the major highlight though the film has enough flaws that can be ignored purely because of the performances and the tight screenplay. On the whole the first half of Trapped has been decent and interesting.

The second half of Trapped strikes hard with its content and it with the performance of Rajkumar Rao completely. Though the film lacks commercial content, the screenplay of the film makes Trapped an interesting one. Rajkumar Rao makes a huge impact with his impressive performance which makes Trapped an impressive film to watch. The climax episodes have been decent.

Performance :

Rajkumar Rao should be specially appreciated for his performance throughout the movie. He carried the entire movie on his shoulders and he has been a treat to be watch. He struggled as a helpless guy throughout the movie and his emotional performance is a treat to watch on screen. Geetanjali Thapa has been decent in the assigned role.

The story of the movie is the major highlight of the film. The screenplay has been completely gripping and the limited dialogues strike hard. The background score elevated the film well and the cinematography shows the mood of the film. The production values have been apt and the makers made sure they spent enough for the film. Vikramaditya Motwane should be appreciated for his work.

Final Word

Trapped is one of the finest dramas that hit the screens recently. Rajkumar Rao should be appreciated for his efforts and the film can be given a shot for sure.

    Begum Jaan Movie Review

Right from the first frame, Begum Jaan misses the clarity throughout. The film has some realistic and stunning episodes that surprise the audience and it is Vidya Balan who tries hard to save the film but could not. The first half has some engaging episodes which make the film passable. The performances by the lead cast sure makes lot of difference. On the whole the first half of Begum Jaan is slightly decent but not up to the mark. The second half which is quite crucial for such films fails miserably in all the available ways. The film has some interesting plot but it is the screenplay and the narration which makes Begum Jaan fall flat. Vidya Balan’s stupendous and fearless performance has been utterly wasted throughout. The pre-climax episodes kill the film completely and a decent climax makes no difference. On the whole the second half of Begum Jaan is a huge failure in all the available ways.

    Naam Shabana Movie Review

Naam Shabana has an interesting plot but most of the things seem to be forced for Shabana and the penned character. The first half of Naam Shabana has been decent with power-packed performances and interesting episodes throughout. The film dips down at parts and some of the episodes have been forced to take place. The songs have been completely speed breakers and they deviated the film. On the whole the first half of Naam Shabana looks decent with some interesting drama. The second half of Naam Shabana lacks interesting narration and it is the screenplay which makes the film let down. The movie’s major plot looks deviated and the introduction of many unwanted characters spoil the film’s flow. The pre-climax episodes make the film interesting however a simple climax makes the film end up on an average note. The performances by the lead actors are the major highlights of Naam Shabana.

    Phillauri Movie Review

Phillauri has an interesting story line and it has been well executed in parts. The movie turns quite interesting at times however it is the slow narration which spoils the feel throughout. The first half looks decent and it has some interesting episodes to get entertained. However a huge dip during the pre-interval episodes spoils the mood and on the whole the first half of Phillauri has been quite comfortable to be watched. After a decent first half, the second half fails to make that impact across the audience. The uninteresting narration and the unwanted episodes spoil the film’s feel. They deviate the major plot of the film and irritate the audience. It is Anushka Sharma who shines throughout the film and the visuals look extremely impressive. The climax has been decent and on the whole the second half of Phillauri fails to live up the expectations.

    Badrinath Ki Dulhania Movie Review

The entire first half of Badrinath Ki Dulhania has been racy and runs on entertainment which is filled with humour and sensible elements. The songs have been shot extremely well and are the major highlights of the movie. The emotional episodes too take the major leap at the right time and the interval episodes make the film gripping. On the whole the first half of Badrinath Ki Dulhania is a treat to watch. The second half of Badrinath Ki Dulhania too takes the same wave for sometime but the major plot gets deviated after time passes. However the movie returns back soon and the entertainment takes the major show of the film. The performances by the lead actors and emotional episodes during the pre-climax and the climax makes Badrinath Ki Dulhania a winner at the box-office.

    Commando 2 Movie Review

The first half of the film has been badly penned and executed. It has nothing new to offer and the poor screenplay makes the film flat right from the first frame. Even the characters have not been well framed and it is the pre-interval twist that makes the film interesting. However things change instantly and the songs have not been well shot. The action stunts performed by Vidyut Jammwal are the only good things that happened for the film. The second half of the movie too has nothing much interesting to narrate. It is the lean concept and bad execution that kills the film and its flavor. With many flaws throughout the second half, Commando 2 fails to impress the audience. In the second half, the background score has been apt. The climax episodes have been decently shot however the film fails to make the audience sit engaging.

    Rangoon Movie Review

The first half of Rangoon starts with a bang and all the three leading actors thrive to perform to their best. Especially Shahid and Kangana have been outstanding. The movie has a predictable plot but it is the narration of the characters and their performances which lead the show. The entire first half has been decent and the songs have been extremely colorful. The performances by the lead actors make a strong impact across the audience. The second half of the film manages to stand convincing but it is the slow pace and dragged episodes that disturb the audience. The songs have been shot well and the backdrop of Second World War has been extremely convincing. The pre-climax episodes make the film interesting and intense. The climax has been decent and on the whole, Rangoon is quite convincing if one ignores some flaws.
