Aditya Chopra’s 'Befikre', created a stir with sizzling trailer. The film is all about the modern day relationships and how individuals today are lost in translation of concepts such as commitment, acceptance and the ultimate leap of faith that love is. The first half of the film is light-hearted. It moves through Dharam and Shyra’s past and present relationship. The second half slips too much in terms of logic. The story drags towards the climax.
Ranveer Singh is an actor who manages to overshadow everybody else on the screen. He is perfect but the opening scene is extremely poor though he manages to keep you entertained with his goofy acts. Vaani Kapoor tries hard to impress us with her performance. Unfortunately, it is her recently ‘fixed’ face and her average dialogue delivery put you off.
Befikre is a youthful romantic love entertainer.
The film starts on a fresh note however the Bollywood audience witnessed many similar films in the past. It is the performances which make the film going and the songs are completely melodious and have presented well on screen. The interval episodes make the film interesting however the entire first half of Ok Jaanu is completely predictable. The second half of Ok Jaanu dips down badly after a convincing and interesting first half. The movie turns emotional and the dose of sentiment leave the audience irritated. The pace slows down as time proceeds and the pre-climax episodes spoil the entire film’s flavour. The climax of Ok Jaanu has been positive however the second half of Ok Jaanu is a huge disappointment.
Dangal is completely about wrestling and the first half of the film looks entertaining and gripping. Though the pace of the film has been slow, the performances and the power-packed performances of the lead actors take the film to the next level completely. The first half of Dangal takes over the family emotions and it takes ample time to get you indulged into the film’s plot. The interval episodes make Dangal a masterpiece.A sports biopic will sure be predictable and Dangal is not an exception at all. However the second half is all about the journey of Mahavir’s daughters how they work hard and end up at the International level makes the film. The climax and the emotional content strike a chord completely and are the major highlights of the film. On the whole Dangal is a must watch film because of the gripping narration and the power-packed performances.
The first half of Wajah Tum Ho offers nothing much except the same old, routine and predictable narration that we have seen in many crime romantic thrillers. The plot has nothing new to reveal however the director tried to bluff the audience as if the film has interesting twirls. The songs have been decent however the romantic episodes too looked fake. The interval episodes look completely unusual and on the whole the first half of Wajah Tum Ho offers nothing. After such a disappointing first half, the audience expected less obviously however the film dips down even further during the second half. Even the songs fail to impress the audience and the female leads irritate the audience with their glamorous acts. The special songs test the patience of the audience and the climax has been shot in a hurry. On the whole the second half of Wajah Tum Ho too offers nothing.
Kahaani 2 is nothing less when it is compared to the first instalment. The story has been well blended and the entire first half of the film is a sure shot classic. One cannot predict any episode from the film and the entire first half of Kahaani 2 is completely intriguing. The technical aspects elevate the film well and one will sure get impressed for the content throughout the first half. After an exceptional first half, one expects a gripping and stupendous second half which did not happen. However the film lives up the expectations. Some of the episodes have been loosely adopted and some are left unnatural. The pre-climax episodes bring back the needed interest and the climax has been showcased well. On the whole the second half of Kahaani 2 fall short but is sure not a disappointment.
The first half of Dear Zindagi rarely has something to express and it looks completely clitched. The screenplay has been hammered enough that it makes no difference. The visuals have been fresh and the interval episodes looked simple. On the whole the first half of Dear Zindagi is a disappointment. The second half of Dear Zindagi has been decent however it tests the patience of the audience. Some of the episodes have been dragged without any need. Once again the songs looked decent and the cinematography is the major highlight of the film. With many unusual episodes, Dear Zindagi looks slammed on the whole and the second half has been better but it too falls short of the expectations.
The first half of the movie starts low in pace and the narration has been quite dull. Though some of the moments raise the race, the film dips down again. Couple of songs have been shot well and the performances by the lead actors make the audience energetic. The interval episodes make the audience engaging however the film has been quite slow in pace and it lacks entertainment. On the whole the first half of Rock On 2 tests your patience. The second half of Rock On 2 too carries the same mood and it dips down completely. The biggest disappointment is the songs as none of them have been melodious and interesting.
