SpiceJet, the budget carrier has decided to restart its discount sales by offering 500,000 seats at fares starting Rs 1,499. Meanwhile, the sale for the booking period in between 28 January and 30 January, for travel between 15 February 15 and 30 June this year, where the fare is all-inclusive and for one-way travels.
Meanwhile, the flight ticket on Delhi-Mumbai sector will be available for as low as Rs 2,036 under the sale offer on Wednesday morning, where the regular price for the travel was pegged at Rs 5,775 on SpiceJet's website. January to March and July to September quarters of the fiscal year are low travel demand period, but SpiceJet has roll out such discount fare schemes for customers and fill the seats.
The SpiceJet offer comes two days after, its competitor AirAsia India has announced a discount offer scheme with a seven-day booking window period. The company has release a statement that customers will be able to sample SpiceJet’s enhanced schedule and will be launched from February 1. It also assures that further enhance the network and schedule in the summer schedule starting 29 March.
